Tyne Bank Brewery is a really cool venue with a proper alternative Newcastle feel, very much in line with the Heaton/Ouseburn scene and its nightlife. Every wedding I’ve worked at here as a Newcastle caricaturist has had that “too cool for school” vibe, but still with a touch of elegance. One of the best things about the space is how flexible it is — couples can really decorate it however they want, and every wedding I’ve seen here has ended up feeling completely unique.

If you’re planning a big celebration and want to bring all your friends together for a proper party, this is a brilliant place to do it. There’s always a great energy here, and with the huge amount of space available, it never feels cramped even when the venue is busy. The lighting is also fantastic, which makes it a brilliant venue for live caricature drawing and Newcastle wedding entertainment, helping create a really warm atmosphere throughout the day and evening.

You’re close to the Quayside, so while outdoor space at the venue is limited, there are some fantastic nearby spots for photos. It’s actually surprising how close the venue is to Newcastle city centre considering how tucked away it feels in the creative Ouseburn area. While you’re off having photos taken, I can be back with your guests drawing live caricatures and keeping everyone entertained during the drinks reception, after-meal lull, or into the evening.
