Jesmond Dene Market is a new monthly arts and crafts market in the Visitor's Centre, next to Pets' Corner. It's held on second Saturdays. The next one is Sat Aug 9 and then on Sat Sept 13. It offers a good range of high quality art, textiles, knitwear, candles,jewellery etc. All made locally and sold by the makers themselves. Artists there include well-known NE painter Jim Edwards, textiles from design duo Hilbury House Design and Stitching for the Soul, jewellery from former ITV Tyne Tees reporter Lesley McNish. The market is right next to a fantastic cafe and there's also a shop selling more products...not to mention Pets' Corner and the fabulous Jesmond Dene. Saturdays at Jesmond Dene are really the Place to be Seen!
